Sometimes people invite me to talk to them about History. Not sure why. But it's nice to think that I might have a few interesting things to say, especially about stuff like pill-boxes, war memorials, the 8th Air Force, Anglo-American relations. And running. Sometimes I try to tell my daughter about these things, but she just rolls her eyes, looks despairing, and issues me with various orders and instructions. She's five.
I've given invited talks to, amongst others, the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library (Norwich), BBC Radio 4 (Four Thought), the National Archives (London), 8th in the East Festival and Sulgrave Manor. Plus lots and lots of different schools.
